Online Credit Courses

District is committed to providing students with various learning opportunities to ensure they are college and career ready by the use of technology and online learning courses.  The online courses are taught in a blended format, meaning students will meet with the teacher 4 (four) times  from 8:00 am – 9:30 am during the summer to ensure success and to complete assessments in a face-to-face environment.

The two courses below, Health and Government, are taught in the Canvas learning management system and are taught by a district 230 teacher. Many students take this course online in order to attend other summer activities.  This course is teacher-led which means that students will have access to their teacher on a regular basis.  The teacher also facilitates the learning through online activities which have deadlines that students will be expected to meet.  On the first day of class, June 20th, the teacher will orient the student to the online learning expectations.  To determine if an online course may be right for you, check out these resources.
