Online Courses
Class sizes are limited; spots are filled on a first come/first serve basis.  If there are not enough students (minimum 15) to run a full face-to-face course, students will be placed in an online course which will be computer-based; however, students will still be required to attend daily and meet with a face-to-face teacher who will oversee the online learning process.  The online learning course is highly self-directed through a course suite called Edgenuity.  Students will be notified prior to the start of their summer session to indicate that they have been placed in an Edgenuity course.  A student may also choose to drop if he/she does not want to take the course in this format.

Additionally, there are two teacher-led online courses available to students:  Online Government and Online Health.  These courses are teacher-led through the Canvas Learning Management System.  Students meet face-to-face on a limited basis to take exams and meet with the instructor, but the majority of work and communication with the teacher is done online away from school.

Summer School Attendance Policy
Summer school is divided into two sessions.  Each session is the equivalent of a semester of work in the regular school year earning students .5 credits for satisfactory completion.  Because summer school is a concentrated program, regular attendance is required.
– Classes begin promptly at 8:00 am
– Students will be dropped upon the 3rd (third) absence regardless of reason
– Fees will be forfeited for any student dropped from summer school for attendance/disciplinary reasons
– Attendance is mandatory for all students on the last day of each session to complete final exams.
