Current District 230 students will begin meeting with their counselors in January, 2019. They may request summer courses at that time. The student is NOT enrolled in the summer course until the following steps are completed:

  1. The student should meet with his/her counselor to request a course or fill out the blended/online request form
  2. The counselor and/or designee will place the summer course request in Skyward
  3. The student and guardian will receive an email which will confirm the request has been completed
  4. The student/guardian should follow the instructions in the email to complete the payment process in The D230 Online Web Store
  5. RevTrack will send an email receipt; if you do not get this, please contact the cashier’s office at your home school
  6. Skyward will be updated on Fridays with current course enrollments, if you do not see your course in Skyward one week after you made your payment on RevTrac, please contact [email protected]

REMINDER:  Your student will not be enrolled in the course until payment is received.

What if my student needs to take a recovery course that is not offered?

D230 offers some online credit recovery courses in EDGENUITY that may not be listed and do not have enough students to run an entire class (i.e Chemistry). These students must come to summer school everyday and work at their own pace in an online program that will gauge their learning progress, provide tests and quizzes and self-pace the course content.  There is a teacher in the classroom who will set the parameters for the student in the program, monitor behavior, and assist the student with staying on task; however, the learning is done through the program entirely.   There is no teacher instruction. Students should also bring headphones to these courses.

Is transportation offered?

There is shuttle bus transportation available for $25.00 per session. The bus DOES NOT pick up from your home, it only picks up from the main campuses of Andrew and Stagg to transport students to Sandburg High School before and after summer school. The bus pick-up in the morning will be there around 7:00 am. Please sign up for bus transportation on The Online D230 Webstore if you would like service.

What is the summer school attendance policy?

Summer school is divided into two sessions.  Each session is the equivalent of a semester of work in the regular school year earning students .5 credits for satisfactory completion.  Because summer school is a concentrated program, regular attendance is required.
– Classes begin promptly at 7:45 am.
– Students will be dropped upon the 3rd (third) absence regardless of reason.
– Fees will be forfeited for any student dropped from summer school for attendance/disciplinary reasons.

How can I access my students final grade?
Grades will be posted in the online Skyward system.  If you would like a hard copy of your student’s grade, please contact [email protected]

If you are an out-of-district student, you can request a transcript when you register your student, and it will be sent approximately 2 weeks after summer school ends.
