Students will increase their understanding of the physical world. AP Physics C: Mechanics is a calculus-based physics course that covers kinematics, dynamics, energy, momentum, rotation, gravitation and oscillation. This course follows the College Board’s Advanced Placement curriculum and as such is extremely rigorous and fast paced. This year-long course is equivalent to the first semester of the introductory physics sequence typically offered at colleges and universities. Students may receive college credit in Physics by qualifying on an AP Physics C: Mechanics examination administered by the College Entrance Examination Board.
