Department: Transition courses are designed for incoming 9th grade students that need additional support or course work in order to be successful at the high school level. These classes are offered at each campus, students should register with the School’s Cashier for sections offered at their home school.
Session 1 & 2
Grade 9
Prerequisite: 8th Grade Placement
Students will study computation with whole numbers, decimals, and fractions; graphing in the Cartesian coordinate system; percent; measurement; ratio and proportion; factorization; variables; integers; the number line; evaluation of simple algebraic expressions; properties of the real numbers; linear equations; inequalities; ordered pairs; application problems; probability. This course is an elective credit and does not count towards the 3 math credit graduation requirement.
