This course is designed for the incoming 8th grade student who was not recommended for Math 1 Honors; however, students placed in honors Math 1 who want to review prerequisite skills and concepts prior to the start of school can also take this course. The course will provide an opportunity for the student to acquire the skills to be successful in a high school math honors course. At the end of the class, a proficiency exam will be administered to help determine appropriate placement and the students readiness for Honors Math 1.
